Sweet Story Studio ("we," "us," or "our") provides a web-based service for creating personalized children's storybooks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account and use the Service. The Service is designed to create content for children, but it is operated by adults on behalf of children.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
"User Content" means any photos, text, names, or other materials you upload or provide to the Service. You retain full ownership of your User Content.
By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and use your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you — including generating story text and illustrations. We do not sell, share, or use your content for any purpose other than delivering your storybooks.
You represent that you have the legal right to upload any content you provide, including photos of minors for which you are the parent or legal guardian.
The Service generates story text, illustrations, and page layouts ("Generated Output") based on your inputs and creative choices. Generated Output is produced by automated illustration and story engines and may vary in quality and accuracy.
You are solely responsible for reviewing all Generated Output before publishing, sharing, or printing. We do not guarantee that Generated Output will be free of errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content. You agree to review each page before exporting or ordering printed copies.
Subject to these Terms and your active subscription, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use Generated Output for personal, educational, and commercial purposes, including printing and distribution of your storybooks.
The Service uses a credit-based system. Free accounts receive a monthly credit allotment at no charge. Paid plans ("Plus" and "Pro") provide additional credits and features for a recurring monthly fee.
Credits are consumed when generating story plans and illustrations. The number of credits used depends on the illustration engine and quality level you select. Unused credits do not roll over between billing cycles unless otherwise stated.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Applicable taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
You may purchase additional credit packs at any time. Credit packs are one-time purchases, are non-refundable once credits have been used, and expire at the end of your current billing cycle.
Printed book orders placed through third-party print partners (such as Lulu) are subject to that partner's own terms of service, shipping policies, and return policies. We are not responsible for print quality, shipping delays, or issues handled by the print partner.
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then.
Refunds for subscription fees are available within 7 days of a charge if no credits from that billing cycle have been used. Credit pack purchases are non-refundable once any credits from the pack have been consumed. To request a refund, contact sweetstorystudio@gmail.com.
The Service, including its design, code, brand assets, and documentation, is owned by Sweet Story Studio and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
You own your User Content and receive a license to your Generated Output as described in Section 4. We do not claim ownership of the storybooks you create.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Service is designed for adults creating content for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Photos of children are uploaded by parents or guardians and are processed solely for storybook generation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sweet Story Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sweet Story Studio, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
